TJFF2021 Give Back Initiative
These are extremely challenging times for operators in the non-profit arts sector, including TJFF. While we strive to find meaningful ways to continue our work and ‘keep the lights on at TJFF,’ we are deeply aware that there are vulnerable members of the community whose well-being is always precarious and are now at even greater risk due to the impact of COVID-19.
We are therefore highlighting two grassroots organizations that service those most in need, and yet often neglected. Please join us, in helping The Stop Community Food Centre and Mazon Canada continue the vital work they do in feeding the hungry in our community. You will have the option to donate a portion of the ticket price to support these organizations when you checkout.
The Stop Community Food Centre provides frontline services to the community, including a drop-in meal program, healthy food bank, perinatal supports, peer advocacy, good food markets, and community kitchens. Their focus during COVID-19 is on emergency food access services.
Mazon Canada is a grassroots network that feeds both Jewish and non-Jewish Canadians in need by supporting food projects across the country – including food banks, school nutrition programs, hot meals at shelters, community gardens and more. Mazon Canada supports 130+ programs across the country with purchasing food and equipment in order to serve more people better, healthier food.
