Will there still be Q+As with filmmakers after the films have aired?

Moderated live Q&As with filmmakers will be streamed in order to continue discourse between filmmakers and our audience. Audiences will be able to type in questions and questions will be selected by the moderator. Q& A’s will be scheduled after the viewing window for a film has closed. Recorded versions of the Q+A will be available as well.

Why did TJFF launch a ‘give-back’ initiative?

These are extremely challenging times for operators in the non-profit arts sector, including TJFF.  While we strive to find meaningful ways to continue our work and thereby be able to sustain the organization, we are deeply aware that there are vulnerable members of the community whose well-being is always precarious and are now at even greater risk due to the impact of COVID-19.

We are therefore offering our support to The Stop Community Food Centre and Mazon Canada towards the work they do in feeding the hungry in our community.

How can I help spread the word about TJFF2020 Online?

We greatly appreciate your sharing info about TJFF’s online festival offerings with your friends and family via sharing TJFF newsletters and social media posts.

Is the TJFF2020 Online Festival hosted on the J-Flix platform?

No. TJFF2020 is hosted on a different platform.

Will tech support be available?

Yes. We will offer tech support by phone from 12noon – 6pm leading up to the Festival and from 12pm – 8pm during the Festival at 416-324-9121.
