Description
Nati Adler captures the colour and unique flavour of Jerusalem’s Old City in this engaging look at the spiritual head coverings of the world’s religions. There is the fascinating and mysterious story behind the distinctive fur shtreimels worn by ultra-Orthodox Jews, the origin and meaning of hats worn by Armenian monks and Russian Orthodox clergy, the different styles of keffiyeh of the Palestinians, not to mention the variety of ways women cover their hair. The filmmaker wonders whether we’d be able to tell people apart in the Middle East without their symbolic hats.
AVAILABLE UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 2017
