Description

Narrated by Jeremy Irons, this compelling documentary follows historian Timothy W. Ryback as he analyses Hitler’s private collection of over 16,000 books, in an attempt to understand what influenced his thinking and motivation. While many believe that social and economic factors gave rise to Nazism, analysis of Hitler’s vast library indicates that much of the antisemitic rhetoric and eugenicist thinking was in circulation long before the 1930s and continues to influence right-wing extremists today. This revelatory documentary offers original insights into what shaped Hitler’s worldview.
