Description
TJFF presents the pilot episode of Sovietzka, a loveable and binge-worthy TV comedy, centred around the Goldenbergs, a family of repatriates from Azerbaijan. As immigrants to Israel, they undergo a collective identity crisis as financial troubles and xenophobia dominate their day-to-day lives. Writer Dana Abramovich has created one of the smartest character-oriented tv shows to come out of Israel in a long time. Sovietzka boasts a brilliant cast that includes Susanna Papian (The Monkey House), Evgenia Dodina (Killing Eve), and Lena Fraifeld (Valeria Is Getting Married).
