Description
Acclaimed French director Alexandre Arcady (24 Days, Pour Sasha) delivers his most personal film about growing up Jewish in Algeria before its independence. Returning to his hometown of Algiers with his son, he recalls his childhood growing up surrounded by a large extended family who lived communally and coexisted peacefully with their Arab neighbours before the Algerian War, as was the case for over 100,000 Jews in Algeria at the time. This touching film boasts an impressive cast including Françoise Fabian (Rose, TJFF 2022) and Pascal Elbe (24 Days, TJFF2014).
