Description
In this irreverent comedy set in 1989 during the final days of South African apartheid, teenage best friends Jeffrey and Brad find themselves in the middle of history unfolding — not that either of them notice. On a sworn mission to lose their virginity before graduation, their harebrained scheme quickly sets them on a series of misadventures, entangling them with everything from antisemitic rugby players to neo-Nazi video pirates. Featuring two charming lead performances, evocative production design and a colourful cast of supporting players, Just Now Jeffrey creates a unique and comedic image of Jewish family life at the centre of a world on the cusp of change.
