Description

Based on a true story, this engrossing thriller exposes the corruption behind the Haredi council that runs the day to day lives and businesses of people in the Geula neighbourhood of Jerusalem. When Yair, a newly married man, opens a computer store in an ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood, the residents see his endeavour as an existential threat. It is not long before Yair’s marriage is put to the test and he discovers the limits of free will within a community bound by a predetermined set of rules. Behind their façade of piety lies a fiscally corrupt, morally bankrupt mob willing to resort to violence to enforce a strict religious code.
