In honour of Holocaust Education Week 2022, TJFF is proud to partner with the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre to screen this riveting cinematic adaption of Jean-Philippe Daguerre’s Molière Award-winning play, legendary French actor Daniel Auteuil (Caché) stars as Joseph Haffmann, a Jewish jeweller who owns a small shop in Paris 1941. When the Germans occupy the city, he plans to escape with his family, while signing over his store and home to his employee François Mercier (Gilles Lellouche) and his wife Blanche (Sara Giraudeau). However, Joseph is unable to escape the city in time, and is now at the mercy of his employee’s protection, resulting in a tense thriller with several unpredictable twists.
