Description
"A touching Israeli drama about the nature of religion, family and friendship… A universally relatable tale."
- Redmond Bacon, Much Ado About Cinema
From the director of Restoration (TJFF 2011), comes the Audience Award-winner at the 2018 Jerusalem Film Festival. Menachem, a former frontman for a rock band, is now religious and father to a six-year-old. When his daughter becomes ill, he must find a creative solution to pay her medical bills. So he reunites his band for one last tour. The journey to save his daughter exposes old wounds and allows him to reconnect with his secular past. A wonderful film that boasts a terrific soundtrack.
Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival 2018
"Co-directors Joseph Madmony and Boaz Yehonatan Yacov wade into a battle between religion and rock ‘n’ roll (in) an intimate, contemplative look at existential and everyday turmoil, delicately and movingly anchored by Karlovy Vary (Film Festival) best actor winner Moshe Folkenflik." - Sarah Ward, Screen International
