Description

“Filmed in rich black and white, The Good Person not only satirizes the eccentric film industry but also offers profound insights into our own lives and values.” (Miami Jewish Film Festival)

Moran Rosenblatt (Fauda, Kiss Me Kosher) stars as a feminist film producer from Tel Aviv facing severe financial debt. She reluctantly agrees to take on a project that involves resurrecting the career of ultra-Orthodox Rabbi Uzi Silver (Rami Heuberger, Golda and Schindler’s List), a legendary film figure that abandoned his secular lifestyle to fully embrace religion. He aspires to reenter the world of cinema by adapting the biblical epic tale of King Saul with an all-male film crew. Taking the real-life story of Israeli film legend Uri Zohar as a starting point, director and writer Eitan Anner (A Quiet Heart) offers a probing character study and complex moral tale on art and compromise.
