France has the third highest Jewish population in the world, the largest in Europe. This year, as we premiere eight new films from France, we reflect on the reasons this country has continually been a vibrant source of films exploring the diversity of the Jewish experience. Featuring clips from various French films, new and old.

Guest panelists include:
Pascal Bonitzer, Filmmaker, screenwriter and film journalist, director of this year’s film, Auction.
Dr. Ariel Schweitzer, Professor at Tel Aviv University and regular contributor to Cahiers du Cinéma.
Marcelle Lean, founder, executive and artistic director of the Cinéfranco International Francophone Film Festival.
Discussion moderated by Professor Ron Levi of the Munk School, and Director at the Lab for the Study of Global Antisemitism, University of Toronto.
