WELCOME TO THE 34th TORONTO JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are delighted to welcome you to the 34^th Annual Toronto Jewish Film Festival.

This is a milestone that invites reflection – on how far we have come, on the stories that have moved us, and on the community that has gathered, year after year, to share in this remarkable experience. 

Since launching our first festival in 1993, the Toronto Jewish Film Foundation has remained committed to one enduring belief:  that film has a unique power to connect us across generations, geographies, and backgrounds.   That belief has never felt more relevant than it does today.

This year’s edition reflects both the breadth and depth of Jewish storytelling around the world.  Our lineup features 85 films from 22 countries, with 61 Premieres – including 47 Canadian, 6 International, 6 North American, and 2 World premieres.  We are also honoured to welcome 30+ guests – filmmakers, producers, actors – who will join us for conversations that bring the films to life in new and unexpected ways.

Throughout the Festival, you will encounter documentaries that challenge and illuminate, features that transport you to worlds both distant and intimately familiar, and characters – fictional and real – who will stay with you long after the credits roll.   Whether a film sparks laughter, reflection, or spirited debate, that is the magic we have always sought to create.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our programmers, organizers, board members and volunteers, who pour their passion into every detail of the Festival.

And above all, none of it would be possible without you.  Your loyalty and enthusiasm are what keep this festival alive and growing.  On behalf of the entire Board, thank you.
