On behalf of the board of directors, we are delighted to welcome you to TJFF 2025!

TJFF is proud to be recognized as one of the largest Jewish film festivals in the world, a remarkable achievement considering our dedicated year-round staff of only eight and an eight-person programming team.  Despite our size, we continue to deliver a robust schedule of in-theatre programming throughout the year, regularly playing to sold-out audiences.  Our ever-expanding J-Flix library, accessible online across Canada via the TJFF virtual cinema ensures that our films reach audiences far and wide.

Once again, our discerning programmers have curated an engaging and inspiring Festival for you.  Over the 11 days of the Festival, we will share over 80 films from 25 countries including 34 premieres, offering a diverse array of genres- from horror to comedy to powerful and thought-provoking documentaries.  Join us to meet filmmakers and special guests from Israel, France, the United States and Canada.  We invite you to discover the unexpected.

Since 1993, the Toronto Jewish Film Foundation has been bringing the Toronto Jewish and wider community together to share in the magic of feature and documentary films of Jewish content from around the world.  Our Festival has elicited countless moments of smiles, laughter, tears and no surprise, spirited discussion. This tradition continues thanks to the passion and commitment of our dedicated organizers, programmers and board members.  Throughout the Festival, you will encounter documentaries that help us make sense of our world, features that transport us to new places, and stories that introduce us to unforgettable fictional characters – reminding us of what it means to be human and to learn about ourselves.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish you another engaging, entertaining and enlightening Festival experience!

Lastly, and most importantly, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for supporting the Toronto Jewish Film Foundation.  It is because of you, our audience, that we have been able to do what we do year after year.
