Description

A touching family Western by Kevin Sullivan (Anne of Green Gables, Road to Avonlea), beautifully filmed against the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies. In this adaptation of The Year of the Black Pony by American author Walt Morey, Marilyn Lightstone stars alongside Art Hindle as a woman from the East who enters a “marriage of convenience” to save her ranch after the accidental death of her husband. Deeply resenting the situation, her twelve-year-old son becomes withdrawn and increasingly obsessed with a black pony that runs wild through the valley. However, Christopher’s relationship with this pony may offer the hope that his struggling family needs.

Part of the special archival series, HONOURING MARILYN LIGHSTONE.
