Winner of four Russian National Film Academy Awards including best actor, Van Goghs is a powerful drama about father-son relationships. Mark, a tortured installation artist, cannot form attachments to anyone, least of all his overbearing father, a renowned symphony conductor. Having moved to Israel to escape his past, Mark is drawn back to his home in Riga after his step-mother’s death and finds his father in the early stages of dementia. Father and son begin to navigate their relationship and come to terms with their past and their lives.
