Description

A collection of Canadian short comedic films from the mid-60s and early 70s. Martin Lavut’s hilarious and surreal mockumentary At Home (1968) is “a surrealistic look at the cluttered lifestyle of an auteur Lavut and his buxom, bouncy girlfriend Adrienne... A hilarious take-off on all those cluttered boy-girl, voice-over, young-lover statements the National Film Board puts out.” (Larry Zolf). Ivan Reitman’s student film made at McMaster University, Orientation (1968) tracks the misadventures of a baffled university freshman. Steinberg in Winnipeg (1971), produced for CBC’s Telescope, follows comedian David Steinberg as he revisits his old childhood haunts.

Part of The Harvey Atkin Tribute to Canadian Media Series.
