Description

Acclaimed French-Moroccan comedian Gad Elmaleh plays himself in this heart-warming and charming film, inspired by his complicated relationship to Judaism. Returning to Paris after living in the United States, Elmaleh intends to convert to Catholicism, but hides his intentions from his parents. When his mother and father (played by Elmaleh’s real-life family) discover a figurine of the Virgin Mary in his suitcase, he is forced to admit his secret. Determined to dissuade him at all costs, Elmaleh must convince his family that his love for the Virgin Mary does not call into question who he is nor does it negate his love for them.
