Description

To millennials she is “the notorious RBG”, to her grandchildren she is Bubby, to her friends she is Kiki, but to the rest of us, she is Ruth Bader Ginsberg, the diminutive Supreme Court justice whose fragile appearance belies her outsized contribution to the advancement of women’s rights. In this revelatory documentary, Betsy West and Julie Cohen trace her journey from law school through today, weaving home movies, archival footage and interviews with Ginsberg’s friends, children, granddaughter and Ginsberg herself. In addition to outlining her considerable legal achievements, the filmmakers highlight Ginsberg’s loving relationship with her husband Marty, her most ardent champion.
