Description

Renowned filmmaker Harry Rasky (The Song of Leonard Cohen; Homage to Chagall: The Colours of Love) lends his consummate storytelling abilities to paint a portrait of Depression-era Toronto when antisemitism ran rampant and the city was under the purview of Christian conservatives. Rasky’s anecdotes are laced with warm memories of his Jewish family and community as he speaks with other products of Toronto the Good, including Don Harron, Ed Mirvish and many more. These stories are brought to life with musical performances by violinist Eugene Kash, singer Honey Novick and pianist Millie Kosoy as well as photographs and paintings by artists such as Aba Bayefsky.
