Description

Winner of the Audience Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Never Alone is the poignant true story of Jewish-Finnish businessman, Abraham Stiller, (brother of director Mauritz Stiller who discovered Greta Garbo) who risked everything to protect Jewish refugees seeking sanctuary in Finland during WWII. This gripping account sheds light on this little-known chapter of Finland’s history, a time when the country was caught in an uneasy alliance with Nazi Germany. The film captures the harrowing choices faced by Stiller, as he battles both external threats and internal opposition, in his heroic efforts to stand up to overwhelming adversity.
