Description

In this short film set in the 1950s, Paul Soles is wonderful as Shalinsky, an eccentric Jewish intellectual who believes that his college professor, Mortimer Griffin (Ron Lea), is secretly a Jew who has changed his name. A smart, funny and affectionate adaptation by director Mort Ransen and screenwriter Gerald Wexler of Mordecai Richler’s short story. “An expert effort in capturing the essence of a short story on the small screen.” (Variety) An Atlantis Films / National Film Board of Canada co-production.
