Description

What is going on behind the closed doors of Madam Yankelova’s women-only secret club? Israeli star Keren Mor (Shiva, Princess) is unforgettable in this delightfully twisted fairy tale that is visually reminiscent of a Tim Burton film. The first rule of the club is that love is prohibited. When member Sophie (Mor) falls for a mysterious man (Yiftach Klein from Noodle), she must choose between her last chance for true love and her loyalty to the club. Guilhad Emilio Schenker’s debut film is inspired by the themes of Nobel Laureate S.Y. Agnon and features a dream cast that includes Game of Thrones’ Ania Bukstein as well as two grand dames of Israeli cinema, Hana Laszlo (Shtisel, 7 Days) and Leah Koenig (The Testament, Shtisel).
