Description

This modern-day Romeo and Juliet is an Indie gem of a film, in the vein of (500) Days of Summer. Religion and class collide in this whimsical upstairs-downstairs love story. When Arthur, a poor Welsh student, meets Vida, a wealthy Jewish cellist, sparks fly. As these two fools rush headlong into a relationship, their bond is soon tested when the fates of their two vastly different families converge. Punctuated by quirky animated segments and a great soundtrack, it explores the ups and downs of a young couple in contemporary London. Johnny Flynn and Lydia Wilson deliver outstanding performances as the star-crossed lovers, alongside a terrific supporting cast that includes Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply) and Ellie Kendrick (Game of Thrones). “Matchless filmmaking and story telling. Wonderful!” (Stephen Fry)
