Description

One of Israel’s leading cartoonists, Michel Kichka reflects on his relationship with his father, Henri, a Holocaust survivor, and the way his war experiences determined the psychology of his family. Kichka reveals the dramatic potential of the cartoon as a form of art, as it is only through art that father and son are finally able to communicate. The film is full of lightness, affection and hope, and is the ideal companion piece to My Father’s Secretsan adaptation of Kichka’s acclaimed graphic novel, Second Generation—also playing at the Festival.
