In August 2021, international forces withdraw from Afghanistan and the Taliban seizes control, imposing Sharia Law. Educated women, once symbols of progress, now face persecution. After receiving hundreds of pleas from the Afghan women she’s written about, Israeli-American journalist Danna Harman mobilizes friends, colleagues, and activists for a daring extraction mission. This suspenseful documentary, using text message conversations and footage captured during the rescue operation, follows these dedicated women as they work, minute by minute, to free as many Afghan women as possible. It is a remarkable story about complete strangers who trusted each other and acted when no one else would.
