TJFF and Prosserman JCC present a special screening in commemoration of the anniversary of October 7.
Zohar Wagner’s hybrid documentary recounts the extraordinary story of Rachel Edri and her husband, who were held hostage in their home for 20 hours on October 7. Through quick thinking, humour, and an instinctive act of hospitality—including baking cookies for her captors—Rachel managed to buy precious time until rescue, becoming a symbol of bravery. Filmmaker Wagner effectively blends documentary and dramatic reenactments with the real Rachel acting as “director” of the scenes portraying her own ordeal. Exclusive private footage and police archival materials complete this gripping story of survival, ingenuity and resilience.
Screening followed by a live Zoom Q&A with filmmaker Zohar Wagner.
