Description

As TJFF premieres the new French documentary, Israel, the Land of the TV series, focusing on the current renaissance in Israeli television, here is your chance to revisit the comedy series with which TJFF audiences fell in love back in 2008. Written by Sayed Kashua (Dancing Arabs), the show centres on Amjad, an Arab father and journalist who works for a Hebrew newspaper and desperately seeks to assimilate into the prevailing Jewish Israeli culture. In this episode from the third season, Amjad joins the Big Brother tv series in order to prove to the world that Israelis and Arabs can live together, and his first task is to make everyone on the show believe he is a Jew.
