Description
Alex, a twenty-seven year old Parisian (sensitively portrayed by Pio Marmaï) has been selling drugs in order to pay off the debts of his deadbeat brother (played by French director Cedric Kahn). All the while, he is trying to raise enough money to immigrate to Israel where he hopes to join his cousin in Tel Aviv. This impressive feature debut by director Elie Wajeman was a hit at Cannes Film Festival in 2012. This quiet and poignant thriller follows Alex struggling to navigate the mounting pressures of his family and friends, a complicated love life, and the thugs who are after him and his brother.
