Description

Traveling to Silesia in search of a travel guide author he admires, a journalist arrives at a tenement house on the Polish-German border inhabited by a group of eccentric individuals. At the centre is Rose, a beautiful Jewish woman who is the object of desire for three men – a Pole, a Silesian and a German. The arrival of the Gestapo delivers a challenge: who will come to Rosa’s rescue and how will they deal with their choices in the aftermath? Told in a series of meticulously crafted vignettes, the film has an endearing quirkiness reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film.
