Description

Winner of multiple awards, including an International Emmy, this portrait of acclaimed writer Etgar Keret evokes the same surrealistic style as a Keret short story. Through a blend of storytelling, animation and interviews, the director captures the nature of Keret’s creative process, culminating in an offbeat portrait of one of Israel’s most creative thinkers. Conversations with Keret’s wife Shira Geffen, and close friends and colleagues such as Jonathan Safran Foer and Gary Shteyngart, provide insight into the man whose gentle humour and ironic outlook mitigate the often-difficult subjects his writing tackles.
