Description

Critically acclaimed at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, Erin Korilin’s (The Band’s Visit) new film asks the question: how can one be a good person in a society that does not reward good behaviour? Retiring from the army, David Greenbaum tries to adjust to civilian life by taking a job selling dietary supplements. Lacking a salesman’s cutthroat instinct, he takes out his frustration by shooting his gun into the night air. This precipitates a chain of events that shatters his seemingly perfect family life, laying bare the wide political divide that separates his Jewish middle class family from their Palestinian counter-parts living just beyond the hills.
